The Council of Global Health Scholar’s mission is to empower tomorrow’s leaders in medicine by supporting today’s communities in-need. 

We are looking for outstanding student leaders to join our Presidential Internship Program. This program will be an unprecedented opportunity to develop your career by launching one of the Founding on-campus CGHS Chapters.  

The CGHS internship moves your career forward by providing tools to help you grow as a leader and stand out to graduate programs and hiring managers —while getting paid in the process

Interns will begin a chapter of the CGHS as the Chapter President where you’ll be in charge of recruiting a Faculty Advisor, appointing your Executive Board, and handling the management and budget for the chapter. You will be leading the events with your Board and Advisor. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Recruit and manage a student Executive Board
  • Appoint & designate a University Advisor
  • Attend virtual trainings and meetings
  • Grow chapter membership via outreach initiatives
  • Lead events with the Executive Board and Chapter Advisor
  • Dedicate 5-7 hours/week to your growth 
  • Option to stay on as Founding President

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current student at a college/university in the US or Canada for the current academic year
  • Actively engaged with your school and in your community
  • Have at least three semesters/terms remaining in your program
  • Proficient with video conferencing technology
  • Able to dedicate 5-7 hrs/week during the summer
